Privacy, Written in Plants

The brief was simple: more privacy. The solution was anything but plain. Working in a narrow corridor between two homes, we designed a layered screen of columnar blue and white spruce, purple-leaved ninebark, and ornamental grasses — a composition that moves with the wind and shifts through the seasons.

A flagstone path leads from the street to a custom pergola at the garden's threshold — a structural focal point that marks the transition into the backyard and extends the sense of enclosure into something genuinely beautiful.
