Rain Gardens & Water Harvesting

Design that works with
how water moves through your land

In the high desert, water is everything. We design landscapes that capture, slow, and sink rainfall where it falls — reducing runoff, recharging the soil, and building resilience against drought and flood alike. Rain gardens are not an add-on. They are how we think about every site.

What we design

Complete sites,
not just gardens

Our work covers the full range of a property — from rain harvesting infrastructure, through planted beds, outdoor living spaces, and dry stream corridors, to the native and adaptive plantings that make a landscape self-sustaining over time.

Every design begins with water: where it comes from, where it goes, and how to make it do more work before it leaves the site. From there, we layer in architecture, habitat, and the specific character of your land.

"Meg did a super job with design and has a wide knowledge of the types of plantings we wanted. Kaila and her installation crew were prompt, thorough and very pleasant to work with. We are very pleased with their design and installation, and would definitely recommend them."

Our process

Collaborative, transparent,
from first call to final plan

We take the time to understand how you want to use your landscape — and how your site behaves across the seasons. Every project moves through a clear sequence of steps, and you are part of each one.

Explore our design process
01

Site assessment

We read your land — soil, slope, water flow, sun, and microclimate — before a single plant is chosen.

02

Concept development

A clear design direction built around your brief and the site's natural logic.

03

Design refinement

Architectural features, hardscaping, planting, and rain harvesting plans — everything our installation team or recommended regional contractor needs to build from.

04

Build coordination

Your designer stays involved through installation to ensure the built result matches the designed intent.

05

Ongoing Care

Our Care Division stays involved through installation to ensure new plants are nurtured long into the future.
