Barnabas Kane

Barnabas is a second-generation landscape architect and planner, as well as a sustainable water expert. His multi-disciplined approach blends architecture, landscape architecture, ecology, art, and community planning skills in an ever-emerging industry. His design philosophy draws from a broad spectrum of disciplines with projects ranging from sustainable agriculture to off-grid tiny homes. He has a diverse portfolio of projects from around the country—with notable work from California and Arizona to Northern Colorado—and offers a robust skill set. He is a permaculture instructor, a regenerative practitioner, and has taught at both Prescott College and the ASU design school.

Barnabas has presented to many diverse audiences including the national ‘Green-Build’ conference. He has received numerous accolades, including a ‘Sunset’ magazine award and has been a featured designer in local as well as national publications like ‘Cowboys and Indians’ and ‘Better Homes and Gardens’ magazines.

Barnabus consults with Columbine Landscapes Co. on rainscapes and larger hardscaping projects that require professional landscape architural input.
