The Design Process

Our landscape designs benefit you and the piece of nature you call home.

Many people sod their landscape for lack of a better idea. Our mission is to provide you with a better idea that is cost effective, beautiful, and better for the environment than all the watering and mowing that traditional lawns require. We have seen how inviting in pollinators with a diversity of plants benefits our clients by surrounding them with nature; it increases focus, creativity, overall health, a sense of well-being and helps to decrease stress.

Initial Consultation

Our designer meets with you at your residence to discuss needs and wants, your vision and goes over what we can offer. We will make every attempt to understand what you want, and would love for you to:

  • Show us pictures
  • Tell us about the things you’ve seen and liked
  • Share any strong likes or dislikes

All these things contribute to the creative process and pave the way to your vision. Then we can determine if what you envision is affordable, practical, functional and aesthetically pleasing.

Assessment

We determine the scope of work and a fair price for your project and you pay half at this time for us to start working on the design. Once you make this commitment, we take a property analysis, and formal measurements.

Design

During this phase we develop the design for your landscape. We select adapted and native plants with long season interest, low maintenance requirements, water-wise, and deer resistant. We make a point of creating landscapes that are aesthetically pleasing at all times of year

Next we present our vision for your new landscape through a CAD layout and images of the plants included in the design. We walk you through your new landscape either by phone appointment or on-site and get your approval or discuss any changes you’d like to see. We Once you’ve approved the final design, we provide you an estimate for installation and establish the installation timeline that works best for you.
